A GENTLE TOUCH

A gentle brush of his fingers,
Sending shivers down my spine.
In the love I see in his eyes,
Is a love that equals mine.

He greets me with a smile,
And leaves me with a kiss.
If he were to ever leave me,
I couldn’t imagine what I’d miss.

Maybe it’s his touch,
Or the way he makes me feel.
But whatever it is,
I’m head over heels.

Define a real freindship?

Is TRUE friends love you no matter what happens? well in this point of view I’m still finding my LOST friends. Can anyone tel me where they are? weiw.. What really define’s a TRUE Friendship? well for me in my own definition a real friendship will love you when your pretty nor ugly, that will love you when you’re nice & when I’m being damn! Will understand me, or at least except me when they cant understand me. We fight, and I really piss them off, they piss me off too, they can tell me what I’m doing wrong actions, knowing that I’m gonna get steamed & seem offended by what they said and what i did. But in the end I will thank them for their honesty and concern. They are the people who will tell me when Ive had too much to drink & then clean me up & make sure I’m safe when I refused to listen. True friends are like extended family sometimes better than family, there is Unconditional love & total honesty between you. That no matter what may happen you will live to see each other smile again♥

BUT WITH ALL THIS FRIENDS ARE FOREVER FRIENDS THAT WITH LIMITATIONS that needs understanding of individual’s happiness!! Oh well well well… Where are you my old buddies?are you around?

Legacy up in Arroyo’s final SONA

Monday, July 27, 2009 | MANILA, PHILIPPINES

PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will deliver her ninth and last State of the Nation Address (SONA) today, capping a nine-year term marked by scandals and unrest but also by reforms and economic gains.

Her speech — to be delivered to close to 2,000 people at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City — will deal with issues such as education, national security, the economy, and infrastructure.

Security has been tightened in the metropolis, and authorities have taken the added action of cancelling classes at all levels given the expected protests.

Schooling was stressed at a meeting with education officials yesterday, where Mrs. Arroyo said “Nothing is more sacred or more valuable to enhancing the dignity of every Filipino than a good education. No issue is more important to me…”

Matters such as the economy and peace and order, meanwhile, “will be part of my SONA … all have been crucial to my priorities as president,” she said.

Mrs. Arroyo’ final address to Congress comes amid allegations that she wants to hold on to power beyond 2010. Palace officials declined to say if the issue would be tackled in the speech.

The SONA will instead delve on the President’s achievements and legacy, Press Secretary Cerge M. Remonde said.

Catapulted to power through the “People Power 2” uprising in 2001 that unseated President Joseph E. Estrada, Mrs. Arroyo’s term has been rocked by numerous scandals, ranging from allegations of poll cheating and massive corruption.

Military and civil unrest have also marked her administration, among them the 2003 Oakwood mutiny — one of its leaders, Lt. Sg. Antonio Trillanes IV, is now a senator — and the so-called People Power 3 in 2001.

The Arroyo administration, on the other hand, can also lay claim to growing the economy — 2007’s 7.3% was a three-decade high — and fiscal reforms that have kept the country afloat.

Amid all the controversies, Mrs. Arroyo can be considered a “survivor,” political analyst and Institute for Political and Electoral Reform executive director Ramon C. Casiple said.

“Her presidency was all about political survival. She can tell us she survived those nine years, and we can say the same but this is not good. We are worse [off] than before she stepped in,” he claimed.

Filipinos, said Mr. Casiple, should be concerned about what is left out in her SONA, particularly the issues of poll cheating, extrajudicial killings, and corruption.

“But we can’t expect her to face these issues. Will she say sorry to us? No, of course not. She will talk about her accomplishments,” Mr. Casiple said.

The President is expected to deliver a 40-minute speech, Mr. Remonde said. The president, he added, is “really putting much attention [to her SONA]. It’s fair to say, indeed, more effort has been spent on this one.”

BeoTime: Alarm clock and audio controller by Bang and Olufsen

Bang & Olufsen announced the coming launch of its first alarm clock named “BeoTime”, which also can control other home audio systems marketed by Bang & Olufsen.

The BeoTime’s built-in timer can be programmed to switch the other B&O devices into a stand-by mode after a period of time (up to 120 minutes). Users can also control the basic functions of some appliances such as TVs, audio-video receivers, or lights. The BeoTime has a tilt sensor that is able to change the display orientation and the functions of the buttons. It can be held in a hand and operated with the thumb, or if the user prefers, it can be placed on its magnetic wall bracket.

The similarity of this gadget with a flute is not a coincidence. In fact, Steffen Schmelling (BeoTime’s designer) was inspired by that musical wind instrument when he designed the Beotime. The anodised and polished aluminum tube has a small button on one of its ends. This button looks like a tiny trumpet and pops out when the alarm sounds, so the user must press the tiny trumpet to turn the alarm off. The other end is the area where the batteries are placed (3 batteries).

To check the time at night, the users must touch the Beotime. In this way, a motion sensor will enable a backlight: a very convenient feature. In addition, the Beotime comes with three different displays: one for the current time, one for the alarm time and one to select how the alarm will sound (users can opt for a simple chime or for another audio source).
