Showbiz personalities on the run?
Philippines Election 2007 is packed with showbiz personalites. like Cesar Montano running for senator, Vicente Sotto III also for senator, Richard Gomez senatoriable, and many others. Whew! What will be the future of the Philippines under showbiz personalities.
I didn’t say that they are not capable of governing or managing the government, but why do they run? Our government now have the pattern of showbiz.
For example, Manny Pacquiao, a Philippine pride and the boxing champion is running for congressman in his hometown, Genearal Santos City. A man who is known not only in the Philippines but also in the whole world running for a spot in the goverment? Hmmm.
Another is Cesar Montano, an actor and director and a known celebrity is running for senator this election. Well I know of no bad traits of him, but can he handle the senate? hmmm.
So many questions which can only be answered if they win in this election.
All I can say is that VOTE WISELY! NOT STRAIGHT!
Our future is in thier hands.
